I posted a wanted ad here for a 1926-27 Touring front RH door. I got a call from a man calling himself Dale Hunter 510-340-8351 saying he had a pair for sale his wife, Vickie, got through her deceased father. He told me he was in San Jose, CA. After several phone calls I found out he had no photos nor could get any, had no address to pick them up at, originally wanted 500-600 dollars but would take 200 for both. Cash only. All the while telling me he would talk to his wife about any questions I wanted answered. Each time she was either sleeping, in the shower, out shopping, then finally telling me she doesn't like to talk on the phone. I knew it was a scam from the first call but kept it going to bust his chops. My cousin is a detective in San Francisco and pinged his phone to get his location. When I told him this he immediately hung up.
Be careful. There are a lot of thieves out there who would rather steal from someone than get a real job.
