Default Keep my Gas?

Guy's, I need your quick advise on something. Last fall I was ready to start my '37 for the first time and take it for a ride but no spark. I put about 10 gallons of new gas in my new tank at that time. Instead of researching the problem in the fall I'm going to get at in this spring. When the car is ready to roll do you think the gas I put in it will be okay or should I drain it out and add new? Also, my mechanic was telling me that the government okayed going to 15% ethanol gas. How's that going to affect our old cars? Thanks, Don

Ethanol eats a lot of gaskets, etc. Aviation gas, marine gas lasts longer, without deteriorating. Stabil can be used but you still run into the ethanol eats the gasket problem.

Use your old gas, just add about ten percent of it to every fresh tank.

I enjoy the 'economic' feeling I get when adding old fuel to my tank.

Use the old gas. Add a shot of "Sea Foam" to it, and it will
be fine. As for the 15% ethanol situation, the EPA okayed it for use as OPTIONAL for the Station owners. They'll need to install a dedicated tank and pumps for it. It is NOT, repeat NOT manditory...

My car sits alll winter with gas in the tank. Never any problem in the spring and I don't use any additives.

Don, I never have done anything with the old gas. My car sits all winter here in RI and when I wake it up it starts like I just put it away. My guess is that 10 gals is probably going to last longer than say 3 gals. Just run it down as low as practible and fill with new gas and enjoy the season.
Regards, Don
Oh, I took my carbs off to clean and check float levels and they had no residue in the bowels after sitting all winter.
