Default 1951 Meteor Victoria

I am looking for suppliers of a headliner for my 1951 Meteor Victoria hardtop. It’s basically a rebadged Ford with a unique grille. Thanks!

Try Cartouche (Mac's) or look up Acme Headliners on the web. They are a big supplier of headliners.

I don't know if they carry headliners, but try Hirsch Automotive Products in New Jersey

I always thought the '51 Victoria was the best looking "shoebox" ever.

I guess the Canadians disagreed.

Canadian 1951 Meteor Victoria.
Nothing wrong with the looks of the Canadian variant of the Ford Victoria.

Do you have the old one for a pattern? Your best bet may be getting matching material and getting a local upholstery shop to make one up for you. That is a nice looking model. Good luck.

The headliner is still in the car. I don’t think I’m up to sewing a replacement, so would like to get one already made.

I would much rather have the coupe. I'm looking for a nice '50 coupe right now. If you know of any or know anyone that may. Flathead V8 or later Ford V8 works for me.

Thanks, Sal

Again, I much prefer the American versions, although I wouldn't kick a Canadian out of bed for eating crackers.

The headliner for the Ford Victoria should be pretty similar but Ford of Canada did things differently. There are likely a few owners of them on here that may be able to give more answers than I can about colors, styles, and materials.

I haven't had a chance to look one of these over very well but photos I've seen show ribbed bow supports or piping if that's what it is. The bows appear to be on the underside of the material. This is a lot different than the normal upper support type bows with listings to hold the headliner shape. I have more questions than answers for sure.

I don't have the body parts catalog for the 1951 Fords but it likely has some information on trim in there. The 1952 & later Victoria types seem to have more availability than that of the 1951 models.

If no one makes them then it would have to be fabricated by a trim shop if the OP is not a sewing machine type of person.
