Default 21-Stud Cylinder Head ID Help needed

These appear to be cast iron aftermarket 21-Stud cylinder heads.

They are stamped FOM, 8-17-43, and Made in the USA.

Any information on them would be appreciated. Who made them? Were they actually manufactured during the war? Was this for a military application or strictly just an aftermarket replacement head?

That is an aftermarket replacement head. Combustion chamber looks like a copy of the standard Ford 1937 chamber.

All era Ford heads I remember looking at have a much cleaner cast surface and better controlled bosses where the head studs holes are drilled.
