Default Adjusting stock '32 shocks

Just had my shocks rebuilt and would like to know how to adjust them for the best ride.

If they have the round with two flat sided caps at the end of the shaft you can unscrew the cap and there is a screwdriver slot adjustment under the cap. CW to make stiffer and CCW for softer. EXTREMELY small adjustment yields large results.
No cap at the end of the shaft =nonadjustable.

Post a photo of what you have.

For your general information, early production '32 shocks used on four-cylinder passenger car and commercial vehicle chassis are externally adjustable like a Model A shock, although the shock body is the same as that used on thermostatically-controlled '32 shocks that are internally adjustable, as Terry indicates above. Survivors of the externally-adjustable version are relatively scarce.
