Default Horn

I have a sparton horn that I installed today, took the back cover off, but I'm not sure where the wire attaches to the horn?

There should be two spring clips a wire goes under each of the clips.

The wires point at each other, in other words the form one straight line, and not parallel railroad tracks.

See how the wires poke in from the outer ends, where the metal clip folds over.

So now you must unsolder and resolder the wires any time you remove the horn. I would advise against doing this type of "repair," and instead fix the horn so it would work as it was intended to work.

No, I have bullet connectors outside of the horn for easy removal, works for me so just sharing.

Ah. Sorry. The photo looks like the wires are soldered in.

Hi Ray

You are correct the wires are soldered to the tabs, but with detachable connectors at the other end of the wire. I do appreciate the sentiment regarding originality however. My horn was in such a state this worked out for me, but it's not how Henry did it.

I did this same thing for my headlights as well.

Does it matter which wire goes right or left at the horn hookup?

No, it doesn't matter. The motor will still spin the same direction.
