Try driving your A more often and the ethanol won't have time to rust the tank!

On the other end of the spectrum, I maintain 2 chain saws, a leaf blower, 2 generators, a trimmer, a garden tractor, a snowblower, an outboard, and a Model A, all on straight 87 octane corn squeezins and gasoline. No problems as long as I remember to use stabilizer for any storage period. I tend to use only stabilized gas for infrequently used stuff, like the chain saws. For long runs in season, no stabilizer.

I also keep a spread sheet for each engine, that keeps track of when it last ran, when it was stabilized, oil was changed, etc.

No way I'm going to pay $8 a gallon to run all that.

I find it funny that most fuel questions are in regards to performance of a stock model a ford engine..fuel quality and octane are the least of your performance issues..the stock engine is drastically detuned by design.

No problems with the non-ethanol ( ethanol free) gas

With our wonderful government we will all be paying European prices. Just glad I still have my 2003 VW diesel that gets near 60mpg on the highway.

An interesting experiment to try sometime as you sit around waiting for the virus to go away.

To do this, you will need some sort of precision graduated glassware capable of measuring to an ounce..
Take EXACTLY 1 ounce by volume of any type alcohol and one ounce by volume of distilled or bottled water and pour them together. You do NOT come up with 2 ounces of mixture.

So 1+1 is no longer 2

In California we haven't had an option for non gasohol fuel in years.

Maybe I can obtain "boat gas" at a local airport. It's worth a try.
