Default Oil Pump Pickup

Take a look at the new oil pump pickup on the left compared to original on the right. The pickup tube is shorter on the new one , I’m somewhat reluctant to use it ..Thoughts ??

Why would you not use a Original Ford part over a repop. Just my 2 cents.

Typical import junk. The last tube cut was to short so they went ahead and used it anyway when welding everything together. Send it back its junk the tube needs to be longer so the siphon effect works correctly in the cup.

That particular original one went in another engine.

I would surely use the original one - or I would weld an 'extension' on the repop one.

If that was all I had, I would likewise weld or braze an extension.
