Default Where does this piece go?

Bought a 1929 Model A Standard Coupe many years ago. It was in pieces when I bought it and I'm trying to put it together. Any idea where this piece goes?

Looks like a trim piece to me.

I have a 28 special coupe I totally disassembled and restored which is very similar a 29 standard coupe in many ways and don't think it is used on a 28/29 coupe. Maybe someone threw it in with the coupe parts, thinking it was for the car.

If it's solid steel, maybe it was used as a jack handle.

I doubt it is 29, I have had a few and don't recognize it, though that doesn't mean much. It looks to have two screw holes and to be sheet metal rather than anything solid enough to be a jack handle. May be for a different vehicle. Seems the screw holes are too far apart for a trim piece? Let us know if you get the correct answer, please. I may have to buy one for my own coupe?

marty in ohio -- It's 18 inches long. The hole closest to the end is countersunk, the other one isn't.
