Hammering on an Ol'Truck......
Hey Clem good story in the recent V8 times about your 39 peekup.
I got a good laugh with "I take the rubber hammer and hit the bumpers, frame etc. Whatever rattles, squeaks or falls off, gets fixed" |

Re: Hammering on an Ol'Truck......
Clem one good fix I did on the spring lube was to disassemble the springs, clean them all ,then lay the first leave in the vice, cover it with a layer of chassis grease and sprinkle in some graphite powder, lay the next leave and do the same, when assembled wrap the whole spring in DENSO tape, leaving the mount part clear of the tape, then refit, they will then work a treat and the grease and graphite will stay in.
Our 33 and 34 have this and been in for 5 yrs or more and they both ride nice. Lawrie |
