Default 59 flathead JB weld or weld crack

Started on a new project and was cleaning up a 59 block and found a small crack .
I hear some folks mention using JB weld in lieu of welding ...
See photo.
Any thoughts on this minor crack .....
Thanks

Just ignore it! 99% of all blocks have those, commonly referred to as part number cracks, as in they should have a part number ascribed to them. Will not cause any bother.

My 8BA bock has several of those. I chose to ignore them. Doesn't leak.

From the pix I would assume that the crack is adjacent to a head bolt and a coolant passage. I agree that it will most likely never cause a problem, however, I would suggest that you use a thread sealant on the stud.

There's only one crack like that? Consider yourself very fortunate!

Over here that is real a good one...the save for a much much later repair way way out in the yard would scare the daylight out of you if that block worries you
