How to make a copy of a post
For those of you who want/need to make a copy of a post. Put your pointer on the post # at the top of the post. Such as post #1 Post #2 etc. Every once in a while I want to copy a post for my notebook.

Well, that is kind'a cool, but then what do you do with it? The only advantage I see over "hi-lite, copy, paste" is that you capture the originator and timeline info. DD |

Re: How to make a copy of a post
I guess you could copy and paste the desired quote as part of your reply.
Like this: Then add quotation marks and change the font color for effect. "while we're in school, how do you quote a previous statement in your new post?" |

Re: How to make a copy of a post
for a bunch of old farts you guys are sure computer savvy! i can copy n paste, never tied it here because i goofed around with the quote button at the bottom, which i would guess if you knew how to do it, it would be easier or it wouldnt be there. i guess if i cant quote it might help keep me from getting in trouble around here!

Re: How to make a copy of a post
I live in a PC world, and know nothing about Apple products. Ctrl/C and Ctrl/V are standard PC keypad commands for copy and paste. They used V for paste because P was used for print.

Over the years? Well there you go. You gotta old Mac. Gotta keep with the program of programmed obsolescence. You gotta buy a new one. 8^) Jack E/NJ |

Re: How to make a copy of a post
my new mac's are about 10 years old when i get them off craigslist for around 300 bucks. i am on the 4th one now in about 20 years time frame. never had one die on its own, one went in a fire, one went from the leaky roof in my temporary shop after the fire, and once my special one borrowed my mac and thought she should clean my greasy finger prints off by doing i dont know what, but that got me to number 4 which is working just fine. its the driver thats the problem

Re: How to make a copy of a post
A few years back I learned about the snipping tool. Pretty convenient as you outline whatever you want to save that you see on your screen.
