No wood; it is a pressed steel affair with a fibrous material crimped into it to secure the upholstery tacks. I did have photos, but unfortunately for you have deleted them.

You can email me the photo to post. I'm at the hospital with my wife right now, but should be at my home computer later. [email protected] Problems loading a photo is usually the file being over the size limit.

Received your seat photo. And yep, it's a size issue. The file is 3.7mb and the posting limit is around 500kb. Now if I can get them to discharge my wife I can head home and post it!

Great photo as it clearly shows the two formed circles at the front (top of photo) of the spring where they fit on the mating dowels on the floor pan seat riser to hold the cushion in place.

I have a program set up on one computer at home that I use to resize photo files and that is what I always use. So I'm setting here in the hospital and decided to learn something new. Now I can do it on my phone! Cool. So thank you for the challenge.

31 ford, thanks for the picture, and of course jerry for posting it again. my seat bottom is like the one pictured, but seems to sit too low to match up to the back cushion. i must have other issues going on there. that project is not on the front line right now, i just thought i could learn from rich's question too. best wishes to your wife jerry, hope all is well there.

She (my wife) spends a lot of time at doctors, PT or the hospital! This was a knee replacement. She has a few original joints left (damn few, but a few) so we well be back I'm sure. She's a fixer upper.

Thanks 31 & JSeery; No wood; duh. As soon as I saw the two rings; it came back to me. Guess it has been 45 or so years that I had a stock seat in one of my previous Tudors. Last one had a seat thing made by Rod Tin which had a wood base; guess that's where I got the idea of wood.
