Chris, can you post a link?

Evidently, there is no link from www.mafca.com to their FB page.

It was being run by two different people. It is for the moment shut down while the board is figuring out how they want to use it. They are afraid that the page is going to take away from the Q&A section of the restorer (which I think fordbarn already has).

That guy seems to get off topic "Model A" and last night posted too many OFF TOPIC pictures. I know a person who unfriended him recently for posting too much!

Oh - didn't think of that aspect - there were ALOT of photos on there; I don't need to be flooded with pictures everytime I visit facebook - maybe I'll just bookmark the page and not "Like" it on facebook...

We are a local Model A & T club here in the panhandle of Florida, with most of our members from Okaloosa and Walton counties. We have about 50 members and just enjoy fixing up and driving our old vehicles, great bunch of people with alot of experience and knowledge. Club has been exsistence and chartered by MAFC since 1960 and was the first charted club in Florida. I (Andrew Jernigan from Baker, Florida) have been in the club for about 3 years now and with the assistance of my daughter just started the clubs facebook page, glad to see that people are seeing it and enjoying it. I will continue to update with info and pictures as time goes on, several of us attended a local show today pictures forth coming. Thanks again, this is a great hobby with some of the best people I have ever meet including those here on the Fordbarn forum. Thanks Chris in WNC for pointing us out.

I don't believe he is talking about a club page, he is talking about this one...

I could care less if he posted some Model B's. He posts some very cool stuff, he does post volumes though, buries all the other stuff I want to look at. However, I enjoy almost every picture he posts.

to keep myself from getting flooded with his pictures... when I "liked" his page I unchecked the block that said "add to news feed" and then checked the block that said "add to interest lists"...

Now when I have time I click on that list and see the great photos he posts... but they don't clog up my news feed with 50 photos a day...

His stuff is really quite good and worth checking out.

beacuse it's the quickest and easiest way to keep up with my children, grand children and great-grands who live out-of-state. simple as that. fringe benefit is re-connecting with friends from school that I had lost track of.

If somebody is actually worried that a facebook page will take away from the club mag question an answers they have been living under a rock. Hardly anyone suscribes for that or the for sale ads anymore. Why wait 3 months to have my question answered when there is this thing called the internet and you guys. I heard it's catching on. A benefit of the nationals though is getting involved with a local club and meeting people who live in your area.
