Default 36 Fuel Gauge Calbration

I have been chasing some accuracy issues with my 36 electric fuel gauge. I was able to calibrate the fuel gauge to the sending unit so it reads correctly with full travel on the gauge. The last step is to adjust the sending unit to the fuel in the tank. As of now when the gauge reads empty there is 4 gallons left in the tank, roughly an 80 miles reserve. Does anyone know what an average reserve would be?

No...but that would be a reasonable reserve. Be better than running out with the gauge still indicating some contents!
