Default Sarah's New Fun Box.............

Greetings!!!! Hope all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I'm sure most all here has noticed my absence and were concerned about me....

Weeks ago I had ordered some nice things for Sarah but have not been able to open them and put them to use, some things are in anticipation for next year when I find Peggy........

which I'll post photos later of those other items.

Two weeks ago I had a next door neighbor die, yesterday I had another die who lives behind me, another, a house over, to my North and a Board member, went in with a heart attack and is waiting a 3-5 bypass operation, my arsehole neighbor across the street has disappeared, maybe fell into the Mississippi while walking a dog, last time he was seen. Here I am in the middle of all of this.....and my front street is in the Mississippi. Have I told you that I'm the Mayor????
On a better personal note, at least my heart surgeon, brain surgeon and orthopedic surgeon says that I'm recovering well, just keep a can of WD-40 and battery recharger on hand and I should do well...anyway, back to Sarah's fun box. I'm sure Bill remembers well, as I do, if he was fortunate enough, like I was, a tobacco/lunch pail that was handed down to him from his Pa or granddad which was quite common back in the late 1800s and on into the 20s and 30s. Plug tobacco came in some nice tins and the one with handles made great lunch pails. They are hard to find a nice one today without the dings and dents and the nice designs worn away but HARK!!!! I found one in Canada. Fits perfect on Sarah's package shelf and all those things I had stuffed inside Sarah's budging door pockets are now inside the tin:
few wrenches
adjustable wrench
allen wrench
flashlight
gas fill drip cloth that fits over the opening to catch drips......
thermal temperature gauge
Listerine breath strips, cologne and XXL Trojans............

Time to recharge.....stay thirsty my friends!!!!!!!!!!!

When I drove Sarah up to Chicago to see the Worlds Fair back in 1933, we visited the American Indian Expo where I bough this bracelet for her, which she wears today.

Remind me not to move into your neighborhood.

I really like that hot mamma in the blank and white, they sure made women classy back when. (I'm going to save that pic if you don't mind) ...She's Beautiful

That red box is cool too. Good find.

She went back into her banks this morning, I was glad to see one of my Board members was out cleaning the debris off the street. No way I could have.

Nice find, 31!
Don't want to hijack the thread (says he, going straight into hijack mode) but how do you (and others) post dirty big photos like that??!!

I attach them from files on my computer using the paper clip icon, but they appear on the thread as small images that must be clicked to enlarge, and even then they're nowhere as big as yours! (I'm sure you'll say you've heard that before!).

I use Tinypic, I resize my photos to 900 longest side, save in Jpeg. Go to Tinypic, load them up, get the code, copy and paste it in the msg text. Tinypic has become a pain in the arse with adverts now but not always.

It's summertime doon yur way now , isn't it?

Cheers.............

Good to hear you're back amongst us!! Sure you don't know more about your arse-hole neighbor Seems like no matter where you live there's always one like that!

Your first pic reminded me of the song from the 70's (Ozark Mountain Daredevils?) " Momma's got a squeeze box, she wears on her chest" at least I thought that was the tie-in to your thread title!!

Sure is. Had our first wildfires already, back in spring. In the middle of a bad El Niño which for us brings drought and starts the fire season early.
