T5 adapter
Are there any other companies, besides Speedway that offer an adapter kit for a T5 transmission to a 59a (38) flathead using a hydraulic throw out bearing?
I'm having trouble getting good answers as if this is even possible. |

Re: T5 adapter
I believe Krylon 32, on here, is Cornhuskers. They make a kit, but don't know about the hydraulic throw out bearing.

Re: T5 adapter
Gary at Cornhusker sells a hydraulic slave cylinder bracket and kit for the T5 as well.

Re: T5 adapter
I can vouch for Gary's adapter kit. It's honestly everything you need to mate the T5 to your flathead.
I'm running a 85-92 trans with Gary's adapter kit, disk and pressure plate, as well as the slave cylinder assembly. I put over 6000 miles on the car last year, and continue to rack the miles up this year, with out any problems.

Re: T5 adapter
I just got a steel bell from Quick-Time. I think they are a Lakewood company.
They have bellhousings to mate just about anything to anything. SFI approved. Got mine for a late flathead to TKO 5 speed. May have to get w/Gary about the hydro slave setup. I'm a newbie here. Last edited by Jefscoupe; 08-01-2013 at 01:22 PM. |
