An original: You can kind-of see how it mounts.
The one we fabbed to replace the original. |

Mine fastened right into the holes that were already there. However, if you need measurements, I can do that, too. The way this "frame" was fabbed it's pretty rigid and it certainly is less flexible than the original. The way it is in the picture is when it was finished, just before the repop skin was massaged into proper shape to fit like it should. |

Kyle, if you can wait till tomorrow, I can try to take some pictures of mine in the day lite. It has an original turtle deck and deck lid.

Re: 1927 roadster deck lid hinge and mounting question?
Hey, ZZ, can you take a pic of the hinge without the tape measure blocking how it's mounted? My turtle deck never came with a lid, so when we mounted it we just put it a way that worked. The holes lined up and we ran with it. But I think the way we put it may have limited us or be flat-out wrong.

Re: 1927 roadster deck lid hinge and mounting question?
I will see what I can do Brent. And do you mean how it is mounted to the deck lid, or mounted to the body? I am not real ambidextrous,,,

Re: 1927 roadster deck lid hinge and mounting question?
Haha!
See my pic, above? Do you think that's incorrect? Btw, I snapped that pic in "selfie mode," so I could see the screen and not contort myself. I think if you retook this photo, without the measuring tape, I could figure it out. Thanks! And sorry to hijack the thread. I didn't even realize I may have an issue until seeing this thread. |

Re: 1927 roadster deck lid hinge and mounting question?
Also, ZZ, how much does your lid open? I'd love to see a pic of it "all the way open" if possible.
