Re: Off Topic Question?
Bill, I've been accused of being too much of a purist on here, so I guess this question is for me... Carbs and a manifold doesn't make you a mustang suspension hotrodder, so go for it!

Re: Off Topic Question?
This forum is full of very knowledgable guys that have been hopping up flatheads for decades. They wrote the book(s). (Literally).
There is plenty of talk about hop ups here, it's all part of the flathead fun. Don't be afraid to ask. Mart. |

Re: Off Topic Question?
Thanks Guys, visit the hamb everyday amazing stuff going on over there but I like the attitude here.My car belongs there but thats another story.
I have a re-popped Eddie Meyer intake which I'm going to run 2 of the new Stromberg 97's on. 60 over,Max 1 cam etc.My question is the new Strombergs come through with 0.045 jets and #65 power valve.I know that they will need to be slightly "tuned" to fit my application. Are these jets and power valve what I want? If not how come and what are other people using. Its not that I have money to throw away, I have a thing about carbs and using rebuilt is not one of them.So no dis- respect to the people that do rebuild them Thanks Bill |
