Question Fan and generator belt dimensions

Where can I find the width and circumference of fan and generator/water pump belts particularly for a '46 Ford 59 V8, have the Ford part numbers but no one has them around here and a Car Quest dealer gave me Gates numbers to order from NAPA, wanna make sure they are the right dimensions , thanks for any input.

The belts are 5/8" wide, they are called a "B" series belt. They come in sizes like B64, etc. It is best to measure around the outside of your pulleys that the belt will pull with a cloth tape measure and match it with the proper size. Don't measure with all your adjustments at a minimum or it might be hard to get the belt on. The chart below shows the available sizes.

Thanks for the chart. I thought my measurements were a bit "off" before now, I thought there must be an offset between the measurement and the size. Now I can see it is a straight 3". I normally use a B52 or B53 belt for my application.

Mart.

I just went through all of this yesterday. The temporary engine is in (46) so I can
rebuild origional 59A. The plan is, all my 59A parts goes on the mystery eng which I
think is a 41? The 59A has all new Napa belts I been running all summer. My mind
so clogged up nothing now fits. Had to use one belt from one to the other. I'm not
getting the pic both engines same crank pulley same generator same water pumps?
Put it all back together and the fan nicks the radiator (right side) just a tinch. So I
tweek the fan and man thats close to the radiator. Next problem is oil comming out
of the fuel pump stand - new gaskets ?? the pump rod on both engines don't have the
umbrella BUT it never leaked before ? This has a funnel and a tube dropped down to
the push rod boss. Am I loosing oil pressere at the pump rod bushing? Seems like a
lot of oil going up there. Yes I have the valley cover plates in there. 20 miles a qt of
oil. baffled, the engine we took out dry as a bone.. Question is, is a worn pump rod bushing blowing oil? its 60lbs cold 45 hot. I'm an 8BA guy they don't have those
funnels tubes and umbrella's in the stand.. Showin my age i guess sam

RE: Fan belt, stock '46 V8
I have 2 fan belts, one is the one I removed from the engine, its OD is 36 1/2", outside width 5/8", inside width 3/8" and thickness of 7/16". It appears to be a Ford belt, see pic attached here, logo appears to be FORD, has a part # 21A-8577 A1, that number appears in the green bible.
Other belt is a NAPA #25-26336, its OD is 37 1/4", outside width 3/4", inside width 7/16" and thickness of 1/2" .
Neither of these belts will allow clearance between the edge of the fan pulley and the distributor, see pic attached. Do recall when I removed the distributor it was a cut/rub mark on the distributor and rubber sleeve from the pulley.
The fan adjuster bracket is at its highest point (see pic) with either belt being used so having a longer belt would allow clearance for the pulley.
Could anyone having a '46 measure their belt and advise me of measurements and who's make of belt, thanks for any input, ......... cheers

This NAPA #36 is a little longer. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NBGB36
You could take the belt and have them measure it and give you the next size or two.

Well looks like I finally found a fan belt to fit, NAPA # 24379, provides about 1" clearance over distributor and rubber wire sleeves
