Default help identifying Greyhound ornaments

I have three different ornaments, I'm confident the one on the F32 box (first pic) is for a 1932 Ford. The other two I need help identifying. The last greyhound came in a box with a drawing of it installed on emblem. The second and third ornaments are very similar except the number of mounting holes, 1 or 2 holes. Any help is appreciated. I want to list them for sale and don't want to misrepresent.

I think the second line item is for 1936 Ford.

mfagan, thank you, I researched your reply and believe you are correct as a 1936 with only one mounting hole. After more searching I believe the ornament with 2 mount holes to be 1935. Thank you.

Actually, I reckon both the 2nd and third versions are for 1935

I was able to find multiple pics of 36 showing only one mounting hole. However I have never owned a 35 or a 36 to know the difference. Please keep the suggestions coming.

Here is what the 36 Greyhound looks like.Longer base as the ornament itself is longer than a '35

The first Greyhound Radiator cap is for the 1932 Fords. The second is for the 1935 Ford. Compare this actual Grille/Hood Ornament with the illustration on the Box. You will see that they are the same.

For a comparison, this is the Grille/Hood Ornament for the 1936 Ford V8.

For what it's worth the only grayhound authorized by Ford (in the U.S.) was 1934.

Duece lover, here is the pic you sent me from your internet search.

If Lawson Cox is correct, then all of these are aftermarket and would explain why there is so many variations. It seems like whatever you make work is whats correct for your car.

Lawson is correct. There were quite a few aftermarket's made by several companies back then. Western Auto,Pep Boys ,JC Whitney were some of the vendors. In around the mid 1960's reops were being made although they did not have the detailing of the 1930's aftermarkets. Here is a pic of an original OEM '34.You can see clearly how crisp the detailing is. American Arrow Corp begining in the early 1970's made the best repos(IMO) and out of stainless. There is a member here that is making very nice limited edition 32-34 Greyhounds.

I know many members on this site don’t like the improvements that were made over on the HAMB a few years ago. However it is so simple to include pics. You can even send pic with your private message. Hopefully Ryan decides to make same changes here on Fordbarn.

PLEASE...…….NO CHANGES here!! Most of us "set-in-our-ways" old guys have finally figured this FordBarn thing out just fine! AND, you CAN send pictures in a PM, folks. DD

Sheldon....You cannot 'copy and paste' pictures here. You must use that little PAPER CLIP, or the YELLOW SQUARE thingy with MOUNTAINS in it to post pictures. EASY, peasy once you get the hang of it. DD

Here is a larger picture of the Stainless Steel Repro Greyhounds for the 1934 Ford added by DD. Notice the free standing Tail on this Reproduction, which is a copy of the original that also had a free standing tail. I have one of these for my 1934 Ford, and have owned if for 40? years now. It is a beautiful radiator cap.

This pic Merman posted is of an original, not the SS repo.It is one I owned a couple yrs ago. The SS ones that were made by Don Sommer have the ribs cut in and not embossed.

So, should I believe these will fit 1935 and 1936 Fords?

I don't believe the '35 and '36 will interchange. The '34 is completely different as the radiator cap is incorporated with the dog.
