1932 Tudor rear body to frame rubber pads
I have read a number of posts referring to the rubber pads used when attaching the body to the frame on a ‘32 tudor at the rear of the body. Per the posts, they are 2x2 inch pads - one is 1/8 inch thick and the other is 1/4 inch thick. I have called several vendors and they no longer have any in stock. Does anyone know where I might find these pads or what is the best material to make them. I have a sidewall of a tire that I could use to make them but is that material to stiff?

They should be firm, but not rock hard. They were originally reinforced with fabric similar to tires so tire sidewall material should work as long as it isn't petrified. Do not make the thicker rearmost pad oversize (beyond 1 1/2" x 2 5/8" as noted by John R below) as it could interfere with the installation of the fuel tank.

The original rearmost pads from my 32 Tudor are 1 1/2 x 2 5/8 x 5/16 thick. They have six plies of fabric reinforcement. So overall, they consist of mostly the fabric infused with rubber. See photos attached.
McMaster-Carr has some fabric-reinforced neoprene material that seems reasonably close to the original. https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/129/4010.

While you are at it, you may wish to consider adopting a late change made in production to relieve the potential strain on the back panel of sedan bodies (and other body types) and the adjacent quarter panels consisting of a spring and elongated body-to-frame bolt for the rearmost attachment.

I bought a spring at ACE hardware. Wire gauge looked good and I cut it in half to give me the correct length. I bet this spring source in Century Springs in USA. The spring ID .541" (OD = .754", label is not correct) so I turned a piece of hard plastic from an Ikea assembly or whatever and slipped this in the bottom. This kept the cut spring end centered in the spring ID. I installed them and found that the bolt was still canted so I used a toilet seat nylon nut; drilled to 3/8" and turned them to go in the top, leaving enough gap between the two inserts to allow the spring to compress. Regular washers on underside and hardened washers on bottom and top of spring, retained with self locking nuts. The bolt length is 2-3/4" long. Besides being innovative with wood shim and dense foam pieces holding my box wrench on the bolt heads, the rumble backrest was tough. I had to scrunch myself into the foot area of the "trunk" or "boot" to access the bottom holding bolt. I taped the washer and machine screw to a long screwdriver and with a bar in the lid hole; pushed the cushion enough to get the screw in. Yes, they also had some 3/8" rubber bonded Bellville washers that I considered for the top instead of the toilet seat modified nylon nuts. They would work well in keeping the 3/8" bolt centered.
