My advise to 'seek help' came across wrong.A better way to put it is to reach out to the local A club and find a mentor,its a great way to learn the basics quickly,or just have someone to call and discuss an issue.

You said you removed three bolts, but there are 6. Two big ones, three on the front cover, and one underneath through the oil pan.
