ok engine was rebuilt i 'm assembling it. ford goes 1234 on one side 5678 on other.So does it go together 1234 or like chevys

If your rods are no. install them 1234 on right 5678 on the left. Acually they will go in any way, make sure you have the right cap to go with the riight rod. Some of the early 8BA rods do not have a pee hole in the rod to sqirt oil up to the piston skirt. If yours don't have a squirt hole don't worry about it. If they do have a squirt hole make sure it point up toward the cam. Usually the no's are on the locking lip side, install them with the no. and the locking lip down toward the pan. BUT, I have seen them numbered on the oppersite side. That's Ford for yea. It the pistons have a notch or an arrow on top make sure they point to the front. I just install a set of EGGE pistons .125 over, no notch or arrow, pins were not off set, they will go in any direction. Is that clear as mud? Walt
