Default 32/33/34 Parking Brake Levers

I am still trying to locate a parking brake lever for my A bone that I have fit with a 32 K-member. I believe the lever I borrowed from a friend is 32 and want one similar. What kind of differences can be expected between the 32/33/34 levers and will is a BB truck or regular truck lever be different from a passenger car item? I'm hung up by a few small details and need to get moving on this car again. Thank You...

The lever itself is the same for '32 and "A." The "A" levers are easily available. (I bought a beautiful replated one at Hershey from a guy in Ohio. He told me that he gobbles them up at the beginning of Hershey for $10 each, replates them and sells them the next year.) I'm not sure if the toothed plate is the same. It might be.

PS: What brakes are you using in the rear? How are you going to hook them up to the lever? (Are you using the '32 cross shaft?)

The ratchet (toothed plate) is different. The one pictured is a '32. A Model A ratchet looks like that but flipped over so that the lever sticks up higher. I had a repro Model A lever left over from a previous project, bought a cheap (for '32 parts) '32 handbrake and swapped the '32 ratchet into the new Model A lever.

Nice looking project, what wishbone did you use? And what are you using for a rearend?

Happy New Year,

Oh yeah, '33-34 is a different design... '32 was the last year they mounted the handbrake to the shift tower.

Thanks for the comments. I do have a 32 cross shaft that I think i'll move the LEFT rocker to the inside of cast housing and attach it to the equalizer with a rod.

This is an older but accurate photo, I've now added a fuel tank and other items have been completed. Steering key was not installed in the photo.

32/36 front axle 33/34 wishbone (very nicely lengthened)
35/36 rear axle, T spring, lever shocks
32 K-member, pedals (shortened)
F1 steering
ALL clean old FORD parts…

I'm close but at the same time I REALLY need to get my s#*t together and be a bit more pro active in getting going again.
