Anybody ever see a RUCKSELL shipping case ?
I bought this at an old garage auction, about 45 years ago. I don't think that they are common.
Make that a RUCKSTELL shipping case. I can't edit the Heading. MIKE Last edited by FL&WVMIKE; 05-10-2010 at 11:18 AM. Reason: typo |

Hitchhiker . . . . . . . . .
I do use that in my house, have for years. It used to be my coffee-table, but now it holds misc. storage. MIKE |

Great piece of automobila! I've got a Ford parts crate somewere from a Ford dealership that closed in 1933. Just yesterday a friend bought a NOS 1920's Dodge fender that was still in the wood crate.

That is really cool, thanks for posting the pictures.
A friend of mine told me a story recently about a guy in the Vancouver, BC area that had a complete Model T still in the original shipping crate as shipped to the agencies. He would remove one side off the crate to give people a peek inside but the car had never been removed. This was back in the 1980s, he's not sure what ever happened to it. |

That sounds like one of those tales to me. Did Ford ever ship complete cars in crates ? MIKE |

Re: Anybody ever see a RUCKSELL shipping case ?
I have a siding from a now-gone spur of the Michigan Central Railroad that has a box-car full of brand new ‘32 Fords from a Ford Agency that went belly up in the Depression.
Of course, this is only in my imagination, having a real Ruckstell crate would be much better. -Dave |
