Default Restoring the steering wheel on a 41 Merc

I'm looking to restore my steering wheel on my 41 Merc. Any recommendations? I have found a few places on Google, just looking for personal recommendations. Thank you

Don Eash at D and D Automobilia does excellent work.
Professional, expert steering restoration of the highest quality is not cheap.
Find out if cost of rechroming is included.

See Post #5 here showing my D and D wheel done 10 years ago.
The color of the wheel is cast into the plastic. Not painted.
I had the chrome pieces done by a professional plater. Not cheap.
Old pot metal can be difficult to plate as it tends to corrode from the inside out depending on the "quality" of the metals comprising the "pot" metal.

There's a couple that has advertised in Hemmings many for years. They are located in Poulsbo. I have no personal experience however they are close enough you could pay them a visit.

If you’re handy and have the time, consider buying a restoration kit from Eastwood and doing it yourself. The kit has a great instruction booklet with pics. If your wheel just has a few cracks....... not missing big chunks, this is a good option. A little filing, some filling with the provided epoxy, sanding using varying grades of paper. Then paint. (The paint is not provided in the kit). I did my Merc wheel.... my first time, and it turned out looking like new.

This place does fantastic work, check the website. I know the owner personally and you couldn't get a better job done anywhere. IMHO
