Default Fuel pump removal 39 pickup?

Remove the pump stand and the pump together? 1/2 socket& racket seems not to clear.

Either way. Depends on your personal preference and what you find easier to do. I don't think there is a right and wrong way.

CC,
To allow some Kentucky windage detach the pump stand from the intake
Disconnect the hard line between the carb and pump
Disconnect the flex line from the hard line coming form the tank
Lift the pump and stand straight up off the intake
Remove the pump from the stand
Find appropriate size cardboard box and send the pump to me for an alcohol
proof rebuild and TEST.

Thanks. I got the old pump off and the new one installed. I haven't found a rebuild kit for the old pump as yet.
