Tudor top molding trim
Hey Guys,
I need a little help. Just replaced the top on my '29 and ordered the front top trim from Snyder's. Anybody know of the best way to bend the nail strip and the cover trim. The original drip rails and the rear are workable, but the front was missing and replaced with a stainless strip and a lot weatherstrip gook. I've seen the jigs made to do the drip rails but not the trim. Special thanks to Marco's for his top installation piece. great help. Thanks ahead for your help Phil |

Re: Tudor top molding trim
To close it we fabricated a special block out of hardwood. The key is to start in the center and work outward only closing it a little at a time. Too fast will create waves or uneveness.

Starting in the middle was where I was going but the idea of a small block shaped to fit the snap in piece is a great tip. It is always good to have a place like this to ask questions or bounce ideas off someone else. Thanks Phil |
