Default wiper ?

Hey guys, I have run into a problem with my vacuum wipers. The car is a 29 Tudor April date and the wiper had been replaced with a later model Trico wiper that mounted on the inside header. It still ran through the windshield frame and the windshield still operated properly. The shaft on this motor has been broken and brazed back together. My question is there any way to find the right wiper as this is a complete rebuild in progress.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Wiper? The right wiper?

A Non-Functional Wiper?

One (1) Hint:

If one has a Legal I.Q. above 25, it is easy to see why any non-functional wiper on his/her Model A may be better than no wiper.

Just think!

1. Slight drizzle as you putter along ........ Rain-X is working very well.

2. Then some drunk or druggy runs a red light or stop sign, hits your Model A, & "claims" he/she injured his/her back & he/she is on welfare & food stamps like most druggies & is challenging you in court with a democrat lawyer.

3. If you were Model A driver X, appearing in court & had "NO" wiper, what are your chances with a jury full of non-Model A owners, carelessly driving stupidly without a wiper.

4. If you were Model A driver Y appearing in court & you claim the impact broke your non-functional wiper, who on the jury can claim you were negligent for driving without a wiper.

5. Maybe not the best Model A advice, but at least driver Y may be able to keep his house, his dog & cat, & keep his hard earned savings in the bank; & maybe even afford to later buy a functional Model A wiper that can swing back & forth.

No charge for this legal advice!

Barkleydave that's my problem. I have an electric replacement but I don't want to lose the opening feature and it looks terrible sticking out there.
Mike I'll try those two. Thanks
H L thanks for questioning my IQ. Sounds like you maybe a worthless lawyer or may have been abused by one. Thanks which ever the case maybe.

I want to go back as close to original as I can, so thanks to all

My legal IQ is only 24, but my Mac's catalog has a note stating that Ford went to electric in Feb 29 from Heinz Electric, then in March 29 started using E. A. Laboratories. All vacuum wipers came from Trico, and began appearing in mid 29. I know that's not really 'authoritative,' but...

They also say that their Top Quality kit is direct replacement and allows the windshield to open.

I haven't investigated the month my 29 was built, but plan on using that Mac's Top Quality electric motor kit.

Hi pwh,

Many Model A drivers resort to "Rain-X" alone; however, after seeing so many Model A's with "no" wipers at all, I thought that you were very wise just because you were trying to obtain & install a windshield wiper on your Model A.

And after reading your last comment in your first post: Any suggestions would be appreciated .......

Thought it might help some Model A driver one day to try to install even a slow moving blade wiper just in case of the unexpected in today's 2015 traffic.

Thanks for your subsequent thanks ..... no need to comment on your subsequent compliments ...... I just hope you successfully get it going.
