Default 8BA Holley 94 Power valve & Jets

Running a single carb 8BA on 8RT Flathead in 38 PU.
Carb is fitted with 51 jets and 5.5 Power Valve.
I understand correct jets to be 51
Need confirmation of correct Power Valve size is 5.5 ok or should it be smaller? like a 7.5.

Thanks for advice as always

Your PV and jetting should be ok. PV of 7.5 is not smaller or bigger. 5.5 is a tad slower to open in the cycle. 7.5 opens almost right away and dumps loads of gas into the system.Usually bogs down with too much gas. Found out long ago that 5.5 work much better. With a cam you might need or go up to a 6.5 one. Depends what its doing if anything. That's why you got to go to 3.5 or 4.5 PV's in a 2x2 setup. ken ct. Do you have a problem????

Thanks do much Ken.
Was just going through all systems on newly aquired vehicle.38 PU
Wabted to ensure all is set up right and now just putting some miles on to observe at open road and around town running. Will go with the recommended 5,5 PV
Thanks do much for advice and confirmation
