Greetings! I'm away from my reference books and am trying to determine the date of manufacture of a 59A series engine block. Can someone point out the location of and how to date the block from a casting or stamping number?

50mercman, that's an interesting website, but I still don't see how you answered your own question from that site, unless your engine is Canadian?

Eventually most folks find out that dating one can only get you to the year and month and that's only if it has the date code stamped on the intake deck.
