Default 40 ford wiring help

The wiring harness that runs past the horns, three wires stick out, one is power for the horn relay, what are the other two for. The column wire hooks up for the ground wire on the relay, and the two horn wires use up the two left over terminals on the relay so what are the two wires still sticking out of the harness with nothing around to hook them to? Thanks for any help

My factory horn is long gone so I didn't have to deal with this when I rewired mine. But the VanPelt diagram shows the single one that comes out closest to the firewall connects to the horn button wire from the column. The two that come out together go to the horn relay. The horn relay shows two wires in from the harness and two wires out, one to each horn. Hope that helps.

Are these original type wires with the color coding? If so that will identify them. Without color coding I would check each wire with a volt meter or circuit tester to determine where each wire goes.

Check out the schematic in the back of the shop manual.
