Default '47 front gravel pan installation

Wondering if the front gravel shield 51A-17744 goes on top the radiator pan 51A-8208 (as I have it) or under it.

Fits either way and in the Green Book illustration, the pan is shown way out of position.

Rich, on my 48 I did it the way you show it . Easy to remove from bottom of car .

That's the way my '46 is and I think it gives a more finished look.

I think the overlap to the rear was the best looking way to fit the pan too.

Rich , the green book shows a anti squeak strip between the to. I cut down a piece of fender welt,
