1953 Ford with 8v battery.
Purchased a 53 Ford Victoria with an 8v battery. Don't know if any adjustments have been made to the electrical system but my turn
signal and break light bulbs keep blowing after minimual use. Any suggestions? |

Re: 1953 Ford with 8v battery.
Buy a 6 volt battery and clean all electrical connections. The starter may need to be clean up inside also. Back in the old days a 8 volt battery was the easy way for a fix because most did not have a garage or a decent place to work on there cars like us today. When I got my 50 it started slow like a weak battery so I clean the battery post and the grounds straps and bolts now starts strong.Just a bit of tender care will do the job.

An 8 volt battery may be better with the summer months coming, save your self a few bucks and adjust regulator,,,gump
