Default Shoebox Ford lower control arm spacer

When tearing down my 51's front suspension for a rebuild I noticed that the driver's side had these spacers between the lower control arm and the frame while the passenger's side didn't have any. My Ford manual does not show them at all. If they are supposed to be there I am wondering if a prior owner just forgot to put them in on the passenger's side. Can anybody help clarify what the stock setup is?

Most likely an alignment correction done at sometime during it's lifetime whether new or later.
Put it back the way it was and get an alignment to insure it's correct.

I had the same spacers on my 49. I just put them back where they were.

Were they only on one side of the car?

The spacers would be on which ever side of the car needed them for proper alignment , or if necessary, both sides.
As previously stated, put them back where they were, get an alignment to confirm correctness.
