Keith, I offer my condolences and I know through my own life experience that the darkness you feel right now will gradually ease and you can look ahead to daylight again.

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

So sorry to hear of your loss... Stay strong.

Keith, a very sad time for you. Your family will be your strength to support you through this period and beyond. Keep up your interests in old fords or other things which will help you through. 65 years of wonderful memories. Thinking of you. Regards, Kevin.

Your a lucky man to have had her by your side for the last 65 years. So few will ever get the chance. May I ask what her first name was?

Dear Keith - You will certainly be in the prayers of my church, on the prayer chain and our personal prayers. No words are adequate, but KNOW that God loves you, so do we. Blessings to you........Margretha and I can only imagine, but surely we can love in your name.

I lost my long-time companion of 40 years, Judy, in September. I'm finally starting to be able to function again. I feel for you, my friend.

First, THANKS Keith for sharing your loss and pain - so many of us just keep it all inside. I try to remember all of those I've cared about on our best days, our fun days, our memorable days (not always fun), I remember the smiles, I remember the laughter, I remember the unique things about my deep relationships. Most of all, I remember to smile, to laugh and to honor the beauty that rare and special people have brought to my life! Move forward, keep the best, throw the worst out and keep living . . . exactly as she expects you too. Honor her by continuing to create, live and love a full life to the best of your means and abilities . . . that is exactly what she'll be watching you do.

God Bless my you my friend . . . and if you ever want to have coffee, laugh, smile, cry and ponder life, please count me in - because I'd love to spend some time with you. I'm in Columbus - so lets find a way to create some new experiences for both of us.
