Default Timing

When timing with test light is one notch enough advance timing or should light come on at second notch.

Points should just begin to open when properly timed with lever in the up position.

Yep. Either is OK. Whether lever is fully up or a click or 2 down, its fine.

For standard 28-31 ford ignition, your good! That's what so great about standard 28-31 ford ignition a little more or less on the lever, adjust as you go!
