Default Model 40 Door adjustment

Can anyone advise the best way to adjust the doors on a Model 40,
My doors line up pretty good but feel the doors should move back about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch, the doors open and close nicely but the gap at the front of the doors appears too close, almost touching the A pillar.
Do I space the hinges so they move back?? to do this I would have to releive the B pillar a little,
any advise would be appreciated.

Does your lower hinge look like this ? This one is not sprung like many . Post pics of yours as this is the main cause of your issue .

Thanks for the reply, my hinges look different, I assume they need straightening, is this possible, if so what would be the process.
many thanks

i would loosen the screws holding the hinge to the a piller slide in a shim 1/8 thick & see what you got. in my experance bending the hinges can be trouble.if that don,t work for you you can always bend the hinges

Your hinges are bent .
The part that bolts to the body should be straight .
Your second pic shows both body and door segments badly bent .

The hinge in my pics is how they should look .
