Per,

What was Dudley's original question about the smooth pedals? And do I understand your website correctly to say that A5918 still exists? I would love to see photos of it!

There is not yet possible to put a precise date on when the first Model A came to Copenhagen, to be forwarded to the Danish Ford dealers. The cars came almost fully assembled, there should be mounted wheels, fenders and bumpers. Sailing time has probably not been so long as many people believe. * A 5918 * assembled 4-5 jan and is in the showroom at Fred Rasmussen in rings around the 5-6 Feb 1928. See picture above..
And nr. * A 6092 * which is the first on the street in DK. has gone off the Assembly line about 6-7 Jan 1928 and has been on the free port around the 22-23 Jan 1928. However, I can only go out from the then newspaper advertisements and news reports about the "new " Ford. " The first two as there were paid sales tax of the 09 Feb 1928 in Copenhagen was a Model A Tudor win no. * (A) * and a closed Coupé 6092 win.nr * (A) 3799 *. There were paid 566. DKr. for Tudor in charge and it is calculated from the vehicle then-trading price which was 3410,-Dkr.. And Coupén were paid $ Us and it had 566,-a trading price on 3330,-Dkr..
It is probably, around the 22-24 Jan 1928 there has arrived a boat from the United States Ford Rouge Plant to the free port in Copenhagen, and Model A has been provisioned for showcasing in Ford's sales offices around the country.. Here is a picture from Fred. R from Odense 26 Jan 1928 ... who must be photographed the day before and that's the 25 Jan 1928.. (I have names of characters if some are interested).

To return to the first on the street in Denmark, It was Model A Tudor * Mermaid 6092 * and it was registered with no plate M162 which belonged to Fred. R in Odense. The car hit the road on June 18. Feb 1928, and was the main prize in a lottery.
It was Savskære Carl Jacobsen with the family, which won the fine 1. Prize. Here they are seen by the ferry berth in Nyborg ferry port 18. Feb 1928 along with Viggo Fehr from Fred. R Odense. It is very likely that the family has sold the prize to Viggo Fehr, the retail price in February 1928, has been much money for an alm working family, and therefore very likely that they have sold the prize. It is my theory, as there has not been any J register on the nr. plate M 162 but only Fred. R and Viggo Fehr. (See the picture below. lbn.nr 69)

Deron,...the question I had for Per, since he has a very early car, was
for the clutch and brake pedal part number,...and the prefix. I have an
NOS early clutch pedal with a "TZ" prefix ,..but has the correct part
number for an "A". I have seen / own other parts with the "TZ" prefix
and was just wondering how many or what other parts "got out the
door" before the changed them. You know,..."oddity's"...

Interesting, as I have one too. Mine isn't NOS though and I can't remember if it's a clutch or brake pedal, but it definitely has a T-####Z part number on it. You should sell me yours to keep mine company...

I'll try to dig mine out tonight and see which one it is.

It would be interesting to know which one Ron's light delivery has, since it was such a low mileage unmolested vehicle when he purchased it.

You know,...this whole question thing about the pedals started over a year
ago,...and now I can't remember if Ron has one or not. He could.

I'll check my PM's and see what's there..

Dudley,

I just looked and mine is also a clutch pedal, part number T Z-7520. I'll get a few photos and post them tonight. It also has a couple of other minor differences from the other smooth pedals I've got here.

That's odd, I don't think mine has the Ford script on it, and it has that odd little hole around the trunion hole. I was wondering if that hole was original...

Looks like you've cornered the market on pedals.
Someone probably drilled the hole to add a return spring.
