Default Who Sells the best Quality Roof Material ?

Hello Gang; Today I am wondering if anyone knows which vendor sells the best quality Roof Material ( 1930 Tudor), or do they all sell the same stuff ( Lebaron Bonney,Brattons, Snyders etc) ? This would be the 'Long Grain Cobra' , I know its not a perfect match for the original but I understand this is the closest that is available today.
Do the kits come complete with the cotton padding needed as well ? Thanks as always for your kind help! Kev

Give LeBaron Bonney a call; they are quite knowledgeable and will work with you. I believe their top kits include everything you need .

They will send you more information on your particular model than you would ever want to know!

The LeBaron-Bonney roof material is definitely superior to the stuff sold by the other vendors. I bought some from a well-regarded vendor. After I saw a sample of the LB-B material, I abandoned the stuff I had (I couldn't return it because i had already cut it), and bought a new piece from LB-B.

The LB-B material had a very strong non-stretch woven backing that looks like canvas, while the other stuff had a non-woven felt-like backing that was not very strong. It could stretch and tear much more easily than the LB-B material.

A word of caution. LB often sells the cheap stuff for Tudors. I suspect they've had complaints from folks that have no clue how to PROPERLY stretch a Tudor top. Also, as a novice do NOT attempt the decent fabric without a heat source. Summer sun is the best and easiest.

Review my tutorial and be sure you have the confidence to succeed with good fabric instead of the junk.

Is anyone manufacturing a truly accurate copy of the original Ford top fabrics?

I recently installed a LB top kit on my '30 Tudor. I thought the quality of the materials were top rate - instructions leave a lot to be desired. Definitely review the tutorial on Marco's website as it is very helpful.

LB is about 8 miles from where I live, have been there many times.
Put one of their kits in my coupe, everything is included.

Thanks a lot for all the help guys, I will talk to L-B today and see how fast they can get me one, yes I am hoping to do this during August, but in Calgary that does not mean much , we have had a very cold and wet year so far! Thanks again,Kev
