Default 36 Front Stabilizer

Hi Fellas,
Could someone let me know how the Chassis engineering front stabilizers work on 36 -36.
We are just building up a 36 Tudor and have fitted a front stabilizer .
I would like to know if there is any side to side shimmy while driving.
I am using a Panhard bar on my 35 with no problems, and I am in two minds about side shimmy with a stabilizer.
Thoughts???

That type of stabiliser is a pure anti-roll bar. It will do nothing to counter side to side shimmy.

The 40 style bar does help side to side location.

If you can get a panhard rod in there it will help.

But with the short shackles (stock length) the side to side sway should be minimal. Only when the 41-up long shackles are used would side shimmy be a problem and some extra help needed, in the form of a panhard rod.

Mart.

Thanks Mart,
What you have said is what I really expected. We are just putting the 36 together now and the Chassis is all done and painted.
We will see how it goes for shimmy, and maybe have to add a panhard as you suggested.

I have the same setup on my 39 coupe. You won't need a panhard bar

I have the same setup on my 35 pee-cup. Drives great.
