Default Need pics of door window trim panels '35 or '36

Does anyone have pics of the upholstered pieces that go around the door windows for a '35 or '36 coupe. I have some pics of the metal panels but I don't know how they are fastened to the door. I don't think they use standard panel clips.

I don't have the metal panels or the clips so I'm going to have to fab something that will work.

Thanks!

Here are pictures from my 35 Fordor rear door. Should give you an idea unless the coupe is totally different. First picture is front of panel; Second is back side, third shows the attached clip and fourth is a picture of the clip.

Thanks for those pics. That looks almost like a regular panel clip to me.

The original panel clips for the area around the window are special. Since you intend to make your own, you could use regular door panel clips. Those original style clips are available at about $1.10 each!

I'm planning to make the metal panels very similar to the original if I can but, from what I've seen, these panels have the fabric just glued directly to them. That makes me think a standard panel clip will produce a very obvious 'print through' the fabric.

Are those original clips supposed to prevent this by their design somehow? Or is there some sort of pocket in the metal for the clips?

The window trim panel has stamped loops toward the outside to hold the clips, so there would be no clip showing on the inside through the material.

I agree with Gary that where the clips go is stamped into the trim.

I also used the Hood Stainless side trim clips. They appear to be the same.
