Default Cabriolet substructure paint question

Should the triangle braces on the B pillar and turnbuckle assembly properly be painted black or body color? Mine have too little paint to tell and my original color was almost black (Andulusite blue (sp?)).

Can't speak to those individual parts but I found many parts on my 68B had black primer on them. They appeared to have been enamel dipped. Since no effort was made to paint or mask them they may have gotten body color depending on the location. One part I found interesting was the rumble lid had black primer. The color was sprayed after assembly. The lid was obviously opened and sprayed around the edge where the upholstery did not cover it.

Paint may depend on where it goes.

The bodies were made by an outside company. The bodies were put in a primer and sent out to the assembly plant. I believe it was a black primer. If you refer to the 68C article you can get a better idea of how they dealt with cabriolets. It is in Vol 6 of the How to Restore series from the club.
