1942 pickup question
Whilst researching loads of pics of 42-47 pickups. I came across a couple of pics that showed these fitted with vent windows (quarter lights) in the doors. Can't for the life of me find them now. But I did see them. I can't find any words about these and though one was a modern pic of one in Australia right hand drive, the other pic I remember was an old lakes pic, of a bunch of roadsters, behind them surely was a 42-47 pickup with vent windows. Anybody know anything about these windows? We're they made with them in Australia? We're they aftermarket in US? Or custom fit of vent windows off something else?
Thanks in advance. Martin. |

Re: 1942 pickup question
It may have been an Australian thing. We had locally assembled and fully imported trucks in this period.
Some Aus trucks may have had the little air vent in front of the doors as well. Manuel in Oz |

Photos I have of similar War era trucks in NZ [ Canadian sourced] do not appear to show the vent window. |
