I've done both. Thin wrenches are on my "shopping list" at Carlisle and Hershey.

My car came with a toolbox with a set of thin wrenches. I measured the inner width and decided to grind down a new quality wrench with a closer width to prevent rounding up a nut. I would recommend doing this, since "used" wrenches seem always a bit loose. If you mess up a nut ... then the fun starts.

Are the wrenches you got 7/16" and ½"? Just double checking before I grind some wrenches. I am trying to get everything together before I travel over to his house.

Thank you for that info
Like Grampa always said "You never know unless you try, and unless you try, you'll never know"

Please take a look at post #12. Has anyone used these types of tools before? How did they work? Do you think they are any good?

I will be doing some valve work this winter and I am getting prepared.
