No, he doesn't do Hershey anymore. It's darn shame too! I miss him!

Let me tell you a story. Back in the fall of 2013, I was walking by his swap space at Hershey and Charlie looked at me and could tell right away that I wasn't doing very well. I was in the middle of cancer treatments (chemo & radiation) and wasn't looking very good. Charlie took me by the arm and led me to his camper and insisted that I rest and warm up before continuing my walk. He gave me a banana and some cookies to munch on while warming my bones. I don't tell this story very often as it makes me "tear up" and I usually can't finish the story. What great folks Charlie and Alice are! I really do miss seeing them at Hershey.

Where's my kleenex...

Stay Safe,
Pat

In the Charlie NY fordbarn saga, there is apparently “no mercy.” I would like to see grace, humility, and forgiveness out of this.

I sent Ryan a message explaining Charlie’s spelling error. He didn’t agree and left the ban in place.

For this reason I try to make a habit of proof reading and editing. As well, sometimes I'll chose to not post.
Several times being misread or understood has been disappointing.
Charley will be Okay.

Charlie bailed me out again with his phone support. See my thread, “36 with crab distributor no start.” He’s THE BEST.

I have personally seen Charlies concern for others, He is a very good man and as being human can make mistakes. I also believe in second chances and forgiveness.

Exactly!

This forum is what it is because of the members and their contributions. To kick someone out without letting them explain their side, which I believe was a simple typo, is disgraceful. Just like Terry, I believe in second chances and forgiveness. I think almost all of us would like to see Charlie back on this forum. Ryan might be trying to avoid politics and off-topic controversies, but by handling things the way he did, he is only exacerbating the situation. I'll probably get the boot just for voicing my opinion on this matter... but maybe more people need to speak up.
