Default One for the helmet distributor guys.. (Not my video)

I just stumbled on a nicely filmed teardown and reassembly on the model 68 helmet distributor. It doesn't cover setting the timing but might be helpful for someone looking for a reference if tackling the job.

Mart.

Mart that is a good video. I am hoping to do one soon that shows easy ways to replace the bushings and how we do it here.

A pity the video makes no mention of any lubrication during assembly of components such as both bushes, weight pivots and bearings, shaft and cam, etc. It wont run well without lube. Makes no mention of cleaning all components properly. Regards. Kevin.

I usually soak mine in a bucket of carburetor cleaner then dry them completely. I put a light coat of lubricant on the moving parts.
