Default 38Frame

Need advice ,we have a replacement frame to use in a 38 club convt. the frame SN is 18 2015141 it looks the same as the 38 but there is a lot of differences one noticablle one is the rear shocks originally mounted to the side of the frame rail where as the 38 shocks mount to the bottom of the rail what year might it be can one tell from the SN. Rear shocks mount on the underside of the rails and front shocks mount on the side.

From the serial number you have a late 35 frame. 35 SN's runs from 1234357 to 2207110. Rear shocks would mount on the inside of the frame with the shock arms on the outside of the frame in 35.

If you have the original 38 frame, there are several additional braces and mounts specific to open cars you will need if you use a closed car frame.

Thanks Lawson for the infor. and to JimTN yes we have all the necessary add ons also changed the front crossmember The old frame was completly 'eat out '.Thanks all Johnny
