Default Mystic Seaport Car Show

Just returned from show. Great turnout T's and A's. Beautiful day. Enjoy.

Always a good show. Much fewer really old cars each year. If it were not for the model A and T cars, it would be a very small show indeed. I liked the little Metz speedster, and also the huge Fiat chain drive speedster. My tudor was parked next to my friend's unrestored tudor that was put in a chicken coop in 1953 and just returned to use a few years ago. I also got a ride in the 1923 Detroit Electric.

Yes, they increased the age limit to 1931, when the old cars started dissapearing. It is an invitational show, so sigh up is a few months earlier, and you can ask to be put on the mailing list. They group the cars throughout the village, and make an effort to place the cars apropriatly according to type. (trucks on the dock, fire trucks by the fire brigade, pickups in a farmer's market setting, etc).
